The Third Grade class has a variety of learning opportunities in and outside of the classroom.  A sample of past events is included below.

  • Plimoth Plantation - Plimoth Plantation is a living museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA, that shows the original settlement of the Plymouth Colony established in the 17th century by English colonists, some of whom later became known as Pilgrims.

       * This field trip supported in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council

  • MA Science Center/Top Secret Science - Michael Bergen is America’s most loved weird scientist. He has personally worked hands-on with more than 1 million children over the past 18 years. Mr. Bergen is a wonderful educator, entertainer and motivator who gets both kids and adults to enjoy science through engaging participation

  • Breakheart - Breakheart Reservation is a 640-acre hardwood forest with jagged, rocky outcroppings, two fresh-water lakes, and a rambling section of the Saugus River

  • Concord Museum - The Concord Museum in historic Concord, Massachusetts houses one of the oldest and most treasured collections of Americana in the country. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Winchester Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

  • Paul Revere House  - The Paul Revere House offers interactive educational programs designed to acquaint students with Boston's long and colorful history. Built in the 1680s for a wealthy merchant, the house became home to silver smith and famous midnight rider Paul Revere during the Revolutionary era
